This month’s reward explores a future where neural systems come alive and take form. The ever-shifting cyberpunk character transforms as it searches for identity, while graphic elements track and react to its evolution.

Character and overlay loops can be cloned and layered to build futuristic tech mixes, from minimal interface accents to dense compositions built around transformation and motion.
Six VJ loops + a Resolume project, already arranged into columns so you can jack straight into the mix. Available in FHD (1080p) and 4K (2160p) until June 30th, 2026.

NeuralLife Resolume Tutorial - Creating More from 6 Loops
Here’s a Resolume tutorial showcasing how six loops can be expanded into a wide range of variations and compositions to create a mix that stays engaging throughout a performance.
The tutorial covers techniques for generating variations from the six base loops, creating new graphic elements from the graphic loop, workflows with effect stacks and cloners, color variations, and more.
Creation Process
NeuralLife started as images generated in Midjourney, then edited in Nano Banana to create start and end frames. A large part of this process involved replacing the many identities generated by Midjourney with a single coherent character.
These frames were taken into After Effects and, using the Mask Prompter plugin (along with manual masking when needed), the character was isolated and placed on a clean greenscreen chroma key background. The start and end frames were then animated in Kling 3.0.
The animations were upscaled and interpolated in Topaz Astra Creative v2 to 4K at 60 fps, then time-remapped in After Effects to fit 120 BPM. The greenscreen was removed using Keylight v1.2.
I then created a graphic loop made from six separate elements built with animated text presets. While designing it, I kept in mind that the loop should work both as a complete composition and as six independent elements.
To reinforce the theme of transformation, the Tracery plugin was used to create tracking graphics that follow the character’s changing form, adding a sense of a living digital system.
Resolume Arena Project
The graphic loop was first broken down into its six individual elements, with each element centered independently. From there, I created accents and backgrounds using the Radial, Linear, and Grid cloners.
The character loops were then placed between these graphic layers, allowing them to sit both in front of and behind the overlays. Using Transform to offset their position, combined with Horizontal Mirror, made it possible to create side figures around a central figure, forming compositions inspired by the Trimurti.
A loop featuring the character’s palms was also expanded using cloners to create different arrays that can be mixed with the main character loops.
Hue Rotate was used to suggest different color directions and demonstrate how the palette can evolve during a set.
The end of the deck functions both as a learning area and an element bank. Each of the six graphic elements is presented in its own layer, followed by variations demonstrating different ways it can be manipulated. These elements can also be copied directly into other Resolume projects.
Final Thoughts
One interesting aspect of this project is how two layers of AI interpretation were involved in the final result.
Kling 3.0 was used to hallucinate the transformation between two still frames. Topaz Astra’s Creative AI was then used to hallucinate detail and meaning into Kling’s smeared frames.
What's Next?
More living digital systems!
