This month’s reward explores android entities connecting together and manifesting a higher form – their combined signals reshape the space around them. One solitary android struggles with cables that seem to develop a will of their own.

Character and background loops can be layered into compositions ranging from quiet states to exploration, emergence, and loss of control.
Seven VJ loops + a Resolume project, arranged into columns and ready for mixing. Available in FHD (1080p) and 4K (2160p) until July 31st, 2026.
Creation Process
CyberMonk started with the concept of futuristic monks connected by cables, heavily inspired by Ghost in the Shell.
The images were generated in Nano Banana from text prompts created with Claude. Once I was happy with the composition of the android monks connected to a platform, I started generating the central manifestation. I then continued editing the master image in Nano Banana, keeping the monks, cables, and platform intact while changing the surrounding environments. A total of eight environments were animated in Kling 3.0, upscaled to 4K with Topaz Astra Starlight Precise 2.5, then blended together in After Effects using glitch transitions. At that point, I decided the server room would become the primary environment.
Next, I generated a solitary monk with its cables detached from the platform and suspended in mid-air on a blue chroma key background, then animated it in Kling 3.0 using several different motions. The chroma key was removed in After Effects with Keylight v1.2. The animations were then upscaled and interpolated to 4K at 60 fps in Topaz Astra Precise 2.5 before being time-remapped in After Effects to fit 120 BPM.
To place the monk into the server room, I generated a separate server room background and animated the LED lights in Kling 3.0. After upscaling, I masked the individual server racks and offset the start time of each animation so the LED lights flickered independently.
Resolume Arena Project
The project consists of two ritual loops – one in the server room and another cycling through eight different environments – four transparent monk loops, and one server room background.
The ritual loops were enhanced with random playback and light flickers to emphasize more intense moments in the music.
The monk loops were layered over the server room background, then trimmed, bounced, and combined with light flickers to create additional variations from the base animations.
Final Thoughts
I was curious to see how well Nano Banana could preserve key elements while completely changing the environment and lighting, and this project became a chance to put that to the test. The possibilities feel endless.
