Abstract Visuals Vs. Concept Visuals
One of the things I was interested in exploring, while creating the Future Tribe pack – is how to bring together two different styles of VJing – “Abstract Visuals” Vs. “Concept Visuals” (as for visuals that have meaning or containing a message or a concept).
Deconstruct & Reconstruct
I started with investigating the basic components of those ancient tribes’ art: the shapes, the colors, the textures. After disassembling them to the basics, I started building from them more complex figures. Creating in a virtual space unbound you from any physical or technical constrains of the old world – so futuristic creativity was full on 🙂
Slowly, some faces and figures started to emerge out of arranging and rearranging the abstract shapes. The idea of bringing both styles together, Abstract vs. Concept, manifests when some of the loops seem abstract (Close-ups, Mirrored) and other show the whole picture (Faces, Figures) revealing the Tribal Futuristic concept behind the look.
